this show is about a criminal that decides one day to go to temporarily surrender himself to the FBI. but he makes himself valuable to the government by having a list of upper level criminals he calls 'the blacklist.' he is assigned to Elizabeth, but as she works with him she gets pulled deeper into his world and that is what this AMV explores. The world in which he pulls everyone in, on both sides of the law.
when I saw the portion on the commercial it reminded me of a different show that was nearing its end at around the same time, animal kingdom's opening. so I got the idea to do a opening based on the opening from animal kingdom. overtime I began to focused on personal corruption as she realizes she got stuck into a hole she did not realize she got stuck in until the final reaction of the main character. (the person wearing the black hat) I hope I get the message across. I begin this video after watching the first episode of season 9. it should be noted that I only watched that season and a summary video (and I watch that video after editing a lot of the first two drafts, this is from the third) that main female character you see in red was gone off the show by that point so I never watched a complete episode with Elizabeth's present.
this is not the first choice for my second video of this contest. but I want to see if I can find the original file for that one before sending in a previously completed version from a while ago that I just never published. With that decided I chose this video about June 11 or June 12, so it had a quick turnaround, but since it was already pretty complete, it was not that big of a problem. though the biggest issue is I fell in love with two versions. I confuse version 3 and version 3 try 2 in the end I focused more on the other version though I did edit version 3 try 2 a lot as well. and now I have 2 versions on my drive and hoping I choose the right one. since they both have their own good things and bad things.(I did get one person to watch it but that person left before finishing the second video and decided to choose this one based on "an hunch". we are on good terms still but that person is not an editor themself)
I hope my opening credits are not too cheesy. I only realized afterwards that these look like opening credits from the 2000s, when people put their random animes together. I originally meant to just put the two guns but by the time I found the second gun the rest of the opening credits was created. I have a few still frames to make it easier to read not because an mistake. I want people to actually be able to read the credits after all. I use Movavi and a MacBook Air 2014. (probably the last time I will be editing on that computer (though because of the long legacy there still will be videos that have touched that computer, I will just be editing now on the other computer for the future) I just still have to transfer the rest of my stuff but I finally got around to getting my new computer up and running and it seems to be going great, same program though. hopefully you all enjoy the video.
